BJJ Bet kicks off the month strong with an enormous card, bringing to you an 8-man middleweight (no-gi) grand prix, as well as a series of high-level super fights featuring much of Brazil’s top talent.
The 8-man grand prix is particularly exciting because the bracket contains a mixture of seasoned veterans and young, rising stars. This grand prix, along with the superfights, should make for a lot of very interesting matchups.

- Leandro Lo
- Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa
- Servio Tulio
- William Tackett
- Mauricio Oliveira
- Rousimar “Toquinho” Palhares

As mentioned, there will also be a series of superfights on top of the 8-man grand prix:

Emerald City Invitational #2 (7 August 2021)
Emerald City Invitational is back with their second card this year, a 15-man 145lb (no-gi) tournament, with the winner taking $10,000. This tournament will follow the EBI ruleset.
In April, Emerald City Invitational’s inaugural show featured a 170lb tournament, which saw PJ Barch submit his way to the championship title.
Also on the first Emerald City Invitational card, fans saw Luis Quinones submit Frank Rosenthal with an innovative shoulder lock that surprised many. Luckily for fans, Rosenthal will have an opportunity to avenge his loss come the 7th of August, and in the process, he can add another championship title to his already impressive resumé.
Here is the list of competitors for the 16-man 145lb tournament:
- Frank Rosenthal
- Joshua Cisneros
- Jon Calestine
- Gabriel Sousa
- Luis Quinones
- John Battle
- Estevan Martinez
- Kennedy Maciel
- Damien Anderson
- Richard Alarcon
- Keith Krikorian
- Gianni Grippo
- Cameron Mellott
- Daniel Sathler
- Diego “Pato” Oliveira
- Jeff Mock (Winner of Finishers qualifying event)
With so many big names in the bracket, it’s tough to pick a favourite. Considering how the Emerald City Invitational #1 turned out, there should be no doubt that this event will have fireworks as well.
